Each day you get a new chance to move your dealership forward from where it currently is. There are always things that can be improved upon. The key to moving forward is to know your goals and have a plan of action that will allow you to achieve them.
From a salesperson's point of view, here are things that can get the energy flowing and increase the customer service to achieve an improvement in sales, customer satisfaction and a more efficiently run dealership.
Start it off in High Gear
At the end of each day, take a few minutes to look back on the day that just ended. What went well? What didn't? What can you find to make the things that didn't go well go better next time. By doing this and making plans for the coming day, you will already be in high gear and ready to face any challenges head on.
Rekindle the Customer Relationship
On your down time, be constructive. Take the slow periods of the day and call your existing customers. Ask them how they are and if they have any questions. Let them know of any promotions that may be going on and never, NEVER hesitate to ask for referrals.
Find Weaknesses and Either Make them Stringer or Eliminate Them
Every team has a weak link. Without being a bully about it, find out what the problems are that are holding this person back and do what you can to help them overcome any obstacles. Eliminate the negatives and you are only left with positives.
Assess the Overall Performance
Every business needs to assess their performance and a car dealership s no different. How many units sold last quarter? Was that number higher or lower than the previous quarter? What changed and why?
What can be done to improve the numbers next quarter? Set achievable goals and let your team know them and reach them as a team. It will take everyone playing their part to achieve your goals.
Keep Employees Involved
Good sales people are rare. They have to have a certain kind of never-ending energy and a willingness to deal with people no matter what to make the sale. That said, any type of good worker is hard to find and dealerships do not run with salespeople alone. Involve everyone in group activities and goals.
Don't just concentrate of the salespeople. Where would they be without the finance people or the secretaries? Every single employee is valuable and essential or else they would not be there. Don't take them for granted.
These steps and more will need to be taken in order to make improvements in your dealership and to increase sales through enhanced customer service and satisfaction. You can read all of the articles like this that you can find.
